Not every lonely island has sand.
Sometimes it is simply the feeling that everyone else can swim and you can’t.
So, what is the first move?
Imperfect humans usually begin by thinking too much, and expecting a brilliant plan to appear on the horizon.
Most of the time, it does not.
Eventually, you just have to pick a direction and hope for the best – not necessarily the correct one, just one that is different from standing under the same palm tree forever.
And swim just enough to stay afloat. With time, the current will take you somewhere.
Or, you can wait until a ship comes by. But you might wait too long for it and end up losing all hope of escaping the island.
